WILLIAM HETRICK
Was Born 26 May 1829 and was accidentally killed 16
July 1889 at the Wild Cat coal works. He was born in Redbank Twp.
Armstrong Co. Pa.
His parents Nicholas
and Pelli Hetrick (Nolf) had come from Upper Mahanoy Twp. Northumberland Co. It is uncertain
if he moved to Lykens Twp. Dauphin Co. He baptised 2 children there
between 1788 to 1792. That wasn't far from where he was in Northumberland and
these families sometimes baptised the same child in both Himmel and Mahanoy Twp.
Also in the Zion Church, Lykins Twp. Dauphin Co. He was in Mahanoy Twp.
Northumberland through 1787 and 1788, then baptised children in Dauphin Co.
Then he was in the 1790 census in Mahanoy Twp. Northumberland Co. It
is more likely he never left Northumberland. Johan Nicholaus Hetherick /
Hetrick baptized March 15, 1789 Klinger's Zion Lutheran Church. Dauphin
Co. Pa. baptismal sponsors (godparents) were "Joh. Nice. Brosius
& Wife Marie. Parents: Adam Hetherick & wife , Maria.
William Hetrick was born 1829, it isn't positive whether he was born in Lykens
twp., Dauphin or Mahanoy twp., Northumberland Co. but the latter is most likely.
William is one of the children of Nicholas
and Pelli Nolf Hetrick (as are George Jackson Hetrick and Nathan Daniel King
Haines Hetrick).
He was married to Margaret Jane. Born 03 Sept 1829.
Died 23 Sept 1883. William was an coal / ore miner, a Democrat and a member of the
Methodist Episcopal church. In 1850 census was living in Clarion Co.
He was the father of the following children:
