FLOODS ON THE TWO-LICK CREEK Almost every year, usually during spring, the Two-Lick Creek overflows its banks. Clymer and Second Sample Run has been flooded several times. (Actually, only the seven houses in lower Second Sample Run were hit by the flood waters.) Clymer experienced its worst floods in 1924 and 1936 and a few people lost their lives. As a result of this, it was decided to have the Two- Lick Creek dredged, which prevented further flooding in Clymer for a time. There were also floods in 1972, 1977, 1996, and 2004.
