Revered Clayton Straw was pastor of the Berean Bible Fellowship Church in Clymer from 1946 to 1964. (It is now the First Baptist Church.) Though Reverend Straw resided in Clymer, he visited many families in Sample Run over the years, and, using his own car, picked up children in Sample Run to take them to Sunday School and Church Camp.
